This is a time for prayer.

We just got word that my Abuelo, the father of my Cuban familia, had a stroke.

And it’s bad.

Please pray for God’s healing power and that he provides his strength to the family that loves him so much.

Heavenly Father, I bow before you, asking that you heal Abuelo. It is selfish that I ask you to do what I want, that I feel that it is unfair that such a man of God and a family of God endure this, but I am a human and I am selfish, and I ask that you reach your hand down and heal him, and comfort his family. I pray that you make him whole and better. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

For whatever prayer or good thoughts you have, muchas gracias.

Why I hate my parents.

This week, while I was at camp, they went out and got Bruster's ice cream. Key Lime Pie Ice Cream from there is the greatest.

Tonight, for their anniversary, they're at Carabba's. Where there is Chicken Brian. My favorite dish forever and ever amen.

My First Ever Stepping Out Saturday!

There are a lot of things that you need to excuse this week.

1. The crappy quality of this picture. Next week, I'm taking this with a real camera as opposed to my iPod.

2. The crappy background. I really should have had this taken at the lake.

3. How gross I am. Since I took this picture at 9:30 at night after I worked in the sun at the lake.

Also, Target and Wal-Mart. How classy am I?

Although, forreal, these shorts? Supah adorbs. You can't see them clearly, but they're looser and have a tie. Love.

And then, I am in love with this shirt. I bought it at Target today, because I spilled coffee on the original shirt I was wearing. And now I am in love with this one.

And there's my first ever Stepping Out Saturday.

It can only get better from here.

I was at camp this week, so I'm terribly sorry that I was MIA.

However, I do have a Stepping Out Saturday, and we SHOULD be back to our regularly scheduled programming this week.

Except that my aunt and uncle are doing World's Strictest Parents- Australia this week, which is SUPER exciting. I did quite a bit of filming today, and it was really interesting. I will never look at a reality show the same way again.

Because I've been non-stop busy, I swear (you know, since all zero of you were wondering where I've been).

New Things:

white v-neck with pocket, from Target (not technically new, since this is my second. in white. like, this is in addition to the other one, i love this shirt so much). And a striped summer striped scarf, also from Target.

Old Things:

retro looking Vera Bradley wallet (Frill, Folkloric pattern). colorful Papermate gel pens (seriously, I am OBSESSED with these). Sally Hansen Salon Effects nail stickers in Girl Flower (super cute. i also have them in leopard, surprise! super easy and long-lasting).

So, this was the first day of my summer.

I had plans for today to be productive.

I guess I was pretty productive- got a lot of cleaning out of the way and watched some Doctor Who. Also planned my room redo with mom and crossed our fingers that dad would approve s $2000 budget.

I didn't open my Etsy shop, because I've realized that I need to, a) decide what's going in there, b) make samples, c) have enough pictures of enough angles of said samples, and d) figure out shipping costs.

Tomorrow, I'm going to get up at a decent time, lay out for a little while, and then actually take a shower and make myself presentable enough for public in the hopes that La Madre will take me out into public.

Also, on Sunday I will be linking up with Harper's Happenings for Stepping Out Saturday and a good life for A Week in Cell Phone Pics in the hopes that maybe someone will actually read this.

But they probably will not.

What I Wore Today.

T-shirt: Target.

Shorts: Old Navy (these are some of my favorites, and a miracle occurred in them today, in which our resource officer stood right next to me, got two girls in trouble, and didn't even look at me).

Belt: Forever 21 (taken off of a skirt).

Earrings (not shown): Icing.

Sandals (not shown): Wal-Mart.

These are a few of my favorite things Thursday.

Mila and I hit up the mall Saturday, and and I have a lot of unspent birthday money. And then we went to Bath and Body Works, and I fell in love.

They had a sale on their "Signature Vanilla" collection, and I am obsessed with the Vanilla/Coconut. It's pretty and summery, and... my whole room smells like it. Seriously, this stuff is awesome. And it's 50% off. No joke. (Plus, they're having a HUGE sale soon... $3 signature collection! Holla!)

They also have this minty lip gloss that I slather on my lips about five hundred times daily. I like the "barely there." It's minty, and cute, and organic, and wonderful.

Then, we went to Icing, because we were looking for a birthday present. And I found these earrings. They're so cute. They're pretty and vintage and yes, I did wear them today.

So, those are some of my fabulous finds/ obsessions.
